I was so happy when Dawn from The Master Cakesmith got in touch wanting me to photograph some of her new cake designs. Dawn is based in Northumberland and most frequently makes cakes for couples having weddings at Ellingham Hall, Newton Hall and Alnwick Garden.
We got together at her house and she had some wonderful flowers from Bel’s Flowers to add to the cakes. She also set out some of her dessert tables that are available for weddings. It was a very lovely shoot.
My favourite cake was the naked cake, dressed in either strawberries and flowers or smothered in salted caramel…I wish I’d got to eat them! Hehe 🙂
