So you’re getting married?! Congratulations!
You’ve probably heard of different styles of photography and are possibly unsure as to what they mean and what kind is right for you. Typically my couples come to me saying ‘things like: We don’t like having our photograph taken’ ‘We’re not photogenic’ ‘We hate posing’. That’s fine, infact more than fine for me – it’s perfect. I don’t do traditional (everyone looking at the camera, forced smiles) wedding photography and I don’t do dramatic fashion-style posing. Nothing against those that do, it’s just I like to create fun images that let your personalities shine through.
I photograph in an unobtrusive way, to capture the emotions and atmosphere of the day. I specialise in candid ‘reportage’ images, though I understand you may have a few ‘must have’ group photographs to keep your families happy and I able to capture these too. I treat every wedding individually and spend many hours on getting to know you, planning, photographing, post production and album design. I take on a limited number of weddings & civil partnerships per year to ensure quality and to give care and attention to each couple.
I want to fit around your wedding day to tell the story, rather than take over! I don’t approach the wedding day as a photoshoot, to be posing and directing all day, instead I strongly believe you should have as much time as possible to spend with your nearest and dearest and soak up the fun and excitement of the whole day.
My work has been featured in Wedding Ideas Magazine, Belle Bridal Magazine and Your North East Wedding Magazine several times. Also I’ve had work featured on some some fantastic wedding blogs: Love My Dress (click the link to see my features) Whimsical Wonderland Weddings, Plans & Presents and Brides Up North.
