So, what happens next?
Previews
Within a few days, if agreed, there will be some previews of your wedding day over on my Facebook page.
Please feel free to press share and show off your images to family & friends! You can also tag yourselves or other people in the images. If you’d like to use them for profile or cover photos, please feel free, it would be lovely if you can tag my page Katie Byram Photography in the image to link back to my page. Please don’t print from these previews as the quality will be impaired and that is no good!
Editing timescales
After that, I will be busy working on editing your wedding images. We will have discussed an expected timescale for this and it should be written at the bottom of your pre-wedding plan sent to you prior to your wedding. Typically in less busy times (eg. winter) this is around 4-5 weeks. In the summer, you should expect your images will take between 6-8 weeks to be finished. I want to make sure that your final images are well presented to you, and therefore I do spend several days editing them, including culling non-keepers (when everyone blinked or I took a photo by accident- it does happen!), colour and exposure changes, cropping, and removing unsightly things from photographs where possible eg. fire exit signs or telegraph poles. I kindly ask that you are patient in this time. I know how much you will want to see the photographs, and I promise as soon as they are ready i’ll let you know!
Thank you cards
If you’d like to order thank you cards, please let me know as soon as possible after your wedding so I can get them sorted for you to send out to guests. You’d usually choose a photograph from your previews so that they can be ordered asap. The cost of these does depend on the number ordered, but generally work out around £1.50 each including an envelope. I can often offer these at cost price, and I usually also put in your gallery details and password printed in the card so that guests can see all your lovely images. You can also choose text for the inside and outside. If you require more design, or more images on the card, or wish to see a proof before they are ordered, generally there is an admin fee of £25 per order to cover the extra time.
Online gallery
When your images are finished editing and the online gallery is available I will send you a link and password to view. I will also send you a lovely discount code to use for the first two weeks of the gallery being live. You can share this with your family and friends to order prints as well.
The online gallery is the way that I deliver the images to you. I recommend you back up the full gallery to your own devices. Woohoo!

Albums
If you’ve booked in an album prior to your wedding then I’ll be in touch to organise a meeting for you to see the albums I offer and see cover samples and swatches to help you make your decision. Various sizes, paper choices and covers are available so you can make your album your own. You can also order additional parents albums which are smaller duplicates of your main album.
You can also upgrade and add extra pages, which sometimes are needed if you’ve had a particularly long/big wedding day, or there’s been coverage of both bride & groom preparation or when there’s been two brides or two grooms, or you have lots and lots of details to go in.
I will send a special link to choose 30 of your favourite images from your wedding day. Most couples do find this a bit difficult to narrow down, so I advise you choose the group photographs that you’d definitely like in, and the couples photographs you’d definitely like in and then a few other moments throughout the day. You can write comments in the box as well to say anything you need to. It is not necessary for you to send me a list of any images that you definitely don’t want included, as you still have chance to remove any of these should they arise during design.
I then design your album, usually in chronological order, adding in other images to tell the story of your day. You then see PDF proofs by email, which I recommend you view on a computer rather than a phone/small tablet.. Please take time to sit down together, and use the comments box to make any changes.
Once your proofs are approved it takes approx three weeks for the album to be handmade and delivered. Courier delivery is included.
Future bookings
I offer a discount on all future photography bookings for my past wedding couples. This includes things like post wedding shoots, anniversary shoots, trash the dress shoots, family portraits and christening photographs. Just drop me a line to discuss. It’s always lovely to be invited back to photograph my previous wedding couples.
