Having been a primary shooter for over 13 years, I also absolutely love second shooting and associate shooting for other photographers.
Second Shooting & Associate Experience
I’ve worked with other photographers on everything from small intimate weddings where an extra hand was needed, up to associate shooting 700 guest Asian weddings. I have also been in demand for second shooting when highlights video snippets are needed to be captured, and have done both simultaneously at many weddings before.
I’m very confident at capturing groom preparations alone, I’ve also second shot where I cover bridal preparations and the male photographer covers groom preparations, as requested by the clients.
I also have vast experience with LGBTQ+ weddings. I have a warm and friendly personality and I am known for capturing the most fun and happy photographs of children in particular, being a big kid and a bit silly myself, when needed.
I am confident with both on and off camera flash. I’m happy to be your buddy if you’ve got a winter wedding coming up you’re dreading and need a hand with the lighting!

My Style
I shoot in a candid, relaxed style primarily. I am happy to be flexible when it comes to what lenses to use, as I have a range of both prime and zoom lenses. I shoot Canon with a double harness and two bodies at once.
I’ve second shot weddings where a different or more specific style is needed – for example, the main photographer is a fine art style, and they’ve asked me to shoot everything in portrait orientation (besides group photos) no wider than f2, that’s absolutely fine too.
I have total respect for what the main photographer needs. I also don’t need to use images for my portfolio (besides me creating this private, photographer only page!) so you don’t need to worry about that.
Content Creation
This might be marmite as some photographers hate being on camera themselves! Whilst i’m working with you, if you’d like me to grab some snippets of you working behind the scenes, on my phone, to use your instagram reels etc, just say… I’m more than happy to do this for you…
Pricing
My prices start at £250 for second shooting, up to £500 for further, more complicated days (& include video!) If it’s super last minute, local to me (County Durham/North Yorkshire ish) and less hours, you can probably barter me down to £200 and a bag of Percy Pigs.
Associate shooting is based on a wedding-by-wedding basis, please contact me for more details.
Why am I so keen to second shoot?
Well, I love second shooting! I’m lucky enough to have second shot for dozens of other wedding photographers. I love being able to be creative, work on a vast variety of weddings and meet some other great photographers. Being a parent as well, the thought of having a day away from my child with no editing afterwards sounds ideal!
I also love photographing groom prep, (when there’s a groom!) and capturing the look on the face of the person waiting at the top of the aisle for their partner, when I can.
Why am I so keen to associate shoot?
The same as the above really! Not to blow my own trumpet, but I am an experienced and confident shooter, so covering for another photographer isn’t too daunting for me. Just to mention – I know associate shooting is also meant to be just the one day, but if you also need me to have a phone call or video call in advance, with your clients to say hi, have a quick chat about their wedding or just generally reassure them i’ve not got 5 heads, I’m also happy to do this. I have associate shot weddings for eight other photographers so far. I’m happy to send across links to full galleries for you to have a nosy.
