Steph & James got married on 1st April at Kirkley Hall, Northumberland. They chose to incorporate the things they love most, their love of books & their love of running. Infact, less than 48 hours after they said ‘I do’ they actually ran the Northumberland Half Marathon, that set off from their wedding venue! What a way to beat the post-wedding blues?!
Steph got ready in a suite at The Gosforth Marriott Hotel. Paula Pace was on hand doing the make up for the girls – and Simone Whitehead (who as well as being an amazing hairdresser is also the brides’ auntie) made their hair fabulous! Steph’s beautiful dress came from First Glance in Sunderland.
The bride & bridesmaids made their own flowers – and how wonderful they turned out!
Just before the meal, Steph & James were only too happy to take a few minutes out for a romantic stroll down to the walled garden at Kirkley Hall for me to capture some photographs of the two of them. They were keen to get some trees & countryside featuring in their photographs, and it’s a good job we took the opportunity then, as it started to rain afterwards for the rest of the afternoon – April Showers.
As well as having book themed centrepieces, the couple very thoughtfully gave every wedding guest a book, personal to something they’d like. It was wrapped up on the table and presented with a personalised bookmark place setting. The guests loved them! (And thanks to Steph & James who gave me a book of cute cat photos!!!)
Together Forever Stationery created the personalised table plan, table numbers and place setting bookmarks for the wedding. They very creatively incorporated both books & running. All the tables were named after runs that the couple have taken part in.
A big congratulations to Mr & Mrs Knox on their wedding and for running the half marathon the same weekend!
