Kate & Richard got married at Kelham Island Museum , and had a fun, laid back & colourful wedding day.
Their wedding was a little while ago now (time flies!) but it was one of my favourites ever, and one of my favourite venues. I realised I hadn’t got around to sharing their photos on my blog, and now being based back in Yorkshire it jogged my memory of their wedding.
I thought i’d share the highlights with you here….
Kate & Richard were super laid back and had a fun & relaxed wedding – the best kind in my opinion…
Kelham Island Museum stands on a man made island that’s over 900 years old! The building used to be an iron foundry that was built in 1829, so basically the museum building & surroundings have a whole lot of character and history. The theme for their wedding was ‘Made in Sheffield’ and ‘Made in Preston’… representing both the bride & groom…
After the ceremony and drinks we had time for a wander for some relaxed couples portraits. I was in my element, there were just so many backdrops to take photographs that were unique and full of character!!
The reception took place upstairs, and featured sharing platters, locally brewed beer, a North vs. South raffle, and lots of laughter!!! Also check out the pork pie ‘wedding cake’!!!
Ahh that was so lovely to re-live that day through the photographs 🙂
If you’re getting married at Kelham Island Museum I would especially love to shoot your wedding!! Drop me a message through the contact page on my website for a chat!
