I first met Heather at Amy & Thea’s wedding at Whitley Bay. Jake & her got in touch when they were planning their special day at The White Hart, Harrogate for February. They had decided to have a more unusual wedding day, and I was thrilled about being involved.
They chose to have a bigger wedding ceremony, with a champagne & cake reception at the church afterwards, followed by a more intimate wedding meal for close friends & family at The White Hart. Added to that, they shared the day with Heather’s Grandparents who were celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary that day as well.
What a wonderful family occasion!
Heather chose some gorgeous soft colours for her wedding flowers, which were mostly roses.
The ceremony took place at St Mark’s Church, Harrogate, Heather’s family arranged a surprise campervan to take the bride & bridesmaids to the church.
Jake was getting ready there. The church entrance was decorated in beautiful fairy lights and had lots of cake and champagne ready to go!
The ceremony was very moving and personal, and featured some beautiful modern worship songs, played on acoustic guitar.
Just look at their ‘just married’ faces!
The reception at the church lasted a couple of hours, where everyone enjoyed some cake, champagne along with the toasts. It was such a lovely idea!
We spent some time getting some nice low light photographs for the couple, they were particularly fond of the twinkly lights around Harrogate town centre. How amazing is Heather’s wedding cape?!
The wedding meal took place upstairs in The White Hart in a beautiful room.
The couple surprised Heather’s Grandparents by presenting a personalised photo cake for them, and dedicating a song to them as well. It was perfect and very moving.
A huge big congratulations to Jake & Heather on their wedding day and thanks so much for having me as your photographer!!
