Wow where to start with the blog post for this wedding?
Allison & Stephen wanted a mid-week winter wedding, and were thrilled when their preferred venue Ellingham Hall near Alnwick, had a very special date available for their big day – 11/12/13!
The couple chose a wealth of wedding supplier talent to take care of all their special details, and their guests were wowed by the whole day.
Allison chose the talented Dani.Mua to create a natural make-up look, and Lisa Cameron did an amazing job for the bride & bridesmaids hair.
Alli chose this stunning gown from Mia Sposa in Newcastle, it had gorgeous lace and flower details and she looked fabulous….She also chose a faux-fur shrug which really finished off the outfit.
These four gorgeous ladies were Alli’s bridesmaids, they were a fantastic support to her and we also had lots of giggles throughout the day.
The flowers were all created by Adam Prest, who also created some stunning centrepieces for the wedding breakfast, which were the most enormous centrepieces i’ve ever seen at a wedding. There were lots of gasps when people walked into the chapel for the wedding breakfast.
Alli surprised her groom, Stephen with a reaaaally nice watch on the morning of the wedding. We were there to capture his reaction.
The couple created this sweet buffet themselves, which was the biggest I’ve ever seen, and was extremely popular!
After the ceremony, we stepped outside for the group photographs and also some relaxed couples portraits, It was a gorgeous winter day and not very cold at all!
I love the treehouse at Ellingham Hall – a fab setting for photographs!
Dawn from The Master CakeSmith created the bride & groom’s 5-tier wedding cake with rose & snowflake features. Every tier was a different flavour, and I was so happy that we got to sample some at the end of the evening (Chocolate and dulche leche..to die for!)
By Wendy created the wedding stationery including table plan, menu, invitations and place settings in a blue/silver snowflake theme.
The couple chose not to have speeches but had Stephen made formal ‘thank yous’ to everyone who had helped towards their day.
The couple secretly had dance lessons in the lead up to their wedding, so they could surprise everyone with their dance routine. I had tears in my eyes when I saw the team work and effort that had been put into this, and the guests were so shocked when they saw the dance. Alli & Stephen had guests queueing to hug, kiss and congratulate them after they saw that yes, they could dance, and they’d kept it secret!
Mr & Mrs Hall…. it was a pleasure to be part of your wedding day from start to finish, and getting to know you both. It’s clear you are mad about each other and I wish you all the best for your future together!
