Just under a year ago I did something i’ve wanted to do for years! I joined a choir. Rock Choir, to be precise. I finally took the plunge and went along to a taster session, I was warmly welcomed, and I knew straight away this was something I wanted to be part of. Our choir is made up of lots of people, of various ages and backgrounds, with a mutual love of singing, even if before choir it was only in the car or the shower. We meet once a week in term time, and also get to join in local and national performances and events. I just find the atmosphere so uplifting, no matter what mood I went there in. Our leader, Kate, is fantastic, and so funny, she always has us belly laughing.
Rock Choir love to get involved in charity events, and in March we put on our own. Our chosen charity is the Lily Grace Cunliffe Foundation, which helps families with poorly children, to make their lives a little easier.
I loved the way everyone came together to put on this event, and I was asked if I’d mind capturing the event…. and as I definitely take photographs better than I bake cakes, I quickly agreed. I feel like I captured the fun and emotion of the event…
Here are a few highlights….
