Anna & Zack got married in December at Alnwick Treehouse at Alnwick Garden, in Northumberland. I’m proud to be recommended by them as it’s such a unique & special venue.
This lovely pair are a couple proving to the world that opposites, do infact, attract! I mean, who would have thought a man with a fear of flying, and a member of cabin crew, could fall in love and make it work?? Well they did, and they do!
I was thrilled to photograph their special day – and had so much fun with their friends & family who were all super lovely and welcoming too!
Bridal preparations took place at boutique hotel ‘The Cookie Jar’ which overlooks Alnwick Castle. I can’t believe I hadn’t come across this stunning gem of a hotel before?! Unassuming from the street, it’s a beautiful small hotel with wonderful decor, perfect for getting ready for your wedding!
When I arrived the bride & her bridesmaids were a couple of doors down having their hair done at Bex Hair & Beauty.
Alnwick Treehouse is the perfect location for a winter wedding, with the twinkly lights and cosy fires. Many photographers run in fear when they realise the challenges of photographing winter weddings here! I honestly love it!
The ceremony was super emotional! I’d been told that Zack is not soppy at all, so when he came out with some beautiful moving vows to Anna – even the registrar cried!!!
It was quite a windy day, which added to the challenge of photographing a winter wedding, but we made it work, and Anna & Zack were total stars in just going with the flow!
I know it’s a great wedding when I realise i’ve started dancing behind the camera…. These guys hit the dance floor HARD!!!
Later on we took a few minutes outside (in the cold & wind!!) to capture a couple of nighttime photographs, so glad Anna & Zack were up for this too as the treehouse looked particularly beautiful with the purple uplighting!
A huge congratulations to Anna & Zack on their marriage and thanks so much for having me! <3
