Johnny & Anne planned their whole wedding day from New Zealand, and got married at St Roberts Church in Fenham, put on a cute and quirky DIY reception at Summerhill Bowling Green in Newcastle. They went for a laid-back vibe, with lots of colour and homemade features.
Lorna from No Ordinary Floral Designer created the bouquets for the wedding and provided the flowers that the couple and family used to make the table decorations. Donna Ganley, from Power and Pin Ups in Sunderland was on hand to make up the bride and bridesmaids.
Unfortunately the weather didn’t play ball on the day, but the couple embraced the great British weather and even danced in it later on at the quayside.
Luckily I had the above brollies from Love Umbrellas packed in my kit so the ladies could see out the rain in style 🙂
The weather became torrential and I wasn’t sure that Johnny & Anne would be up for the planned Quayside trip, thankfully they were and we got some great shots down there…
In the evening, the fabulous pizza van, Pizzette from Marco Polo restaurant served up some amazing pizza, and the couple had a celidh band to entertain everyone…. what a fab idea!
Anne & Johnny, what a fab day! Thanks for having me as your wedding photographer and for dancing in the rain… wishing you all the best.
