Dan & Jenny’s got married at Healey Barn, Northumberland, in the middle of March (just before life as we know changed dramatically!)
When the couple first got in touch to enquire with me, they said:
“We’re looking for a relaxed, no fuss photographer to capture our day. Chris and Emma gave you a huge recommendation and we love your work.”
Reading that, I knew immediately that I wanted to be there!
(Side note: The couple chose my smaller wedding coverage package, so I was there from just before the ceremony until the speeches, and still had time to capture plenty of fun, candid moments)
I just love all the happy smiles & hugs in these photos, which seem even more special now we are currently in a world where we aren’t able to hug everyone! Absolutely precious moments.
Jenny walked down the aisle to the fabulous Arco String Quartet and the atmosphere in the barn was amazing!
The floral arrangements were beautifully made by Healey Flowers.
Dan is a brilliant landscape photographer (which he’d kept quiet at the time he booked me!) Since meeting Jenny, he’s encouraged her into adventuring in the outdoors and hiking up various mountains. So they decided on a mountains and maps themed table plan, with customised ordnance survey maps, which were brilliant! They managed to get their guests names on each map too.
I’m told that they actually hiked several mountains to ‘tick them off the list’ for the table plan names, in preparation for their wedding ,which I thought was really lovely!
They had a big frame at the back of the barn with lots of family and couple photographs on from through the years which was a lovely personal touch.
Here are the highlights of their special day….
Big congratulations to Dan & Jenny on their marriage, and a huge thanks again for booking me to capture your wedding 🙂
