Bertie & James got married in September 2017, they had a very relaxed & informal wedding at Huddersfield Town Hall. Afterwards their guests swung into a bar for a quick gin & tonic, before getting the train back to our home village of Marsden for a party. I met Bertie a few months ago and she mentioned her fun & laid back wedding. So laid back infact, that this lovely couple never got around to getting some photographs of the two of them taken at their ‘happy place’ : on the moors surrounding our beautiful village.
I mentioned the idea of having a post-wedding shoot to them and they jumped at the chance* woohoo!
(*Ok, ok, James was bribed with some beer)
So they dusted off their wedding outfits and Bertie made a collar to match James’ bow tie for their gorgeous chocolate labrador puppy, Boogie.
HOW HANDSOME?!
Erica Broughton styled Bertie’s hair and gave James a wet shave pampering as well.
The bouquet & button hole were created by Lily Blossom Florist.
James’ wedding suit came from ASOS, and Bertie’s amazing floral dress was actually from a H&M dress, which Bertie customised herself and added a corset & skirt! So blumming creative!!!
We took most of the day adventuring around to capture these images, with a couple of breaks down at The Riverhead. Gin & tonic or three (Bertie), a pint of real ale or two (James) & a latte or two (Me!).
Here’s the rest of the highlights from the shoot:
Thanks so much to Bertie, James, Boogie, Erica Broughton Hair & Lily Blossom Florist for everything!
